Chill Pill minature speakers

Extremely satisfied with the way Maureen at your King of Prussia, Pa. store helped me on my Christmas dilemma. The Marlton, Nj. store was out of the Chill Pill speakers that I needed for Christmas. Maureen not only sold me the speakers BUT took them to her home in Moorestown, NJ for me to pickup the next day as I live in Marlton, Nj about 8 miles away from her house. WHAT A SALES EXPERIENCE..I shop regularly at LL Bean and can't say enough about your sales personal. A mention as well for Ruth at the Marlton, Nj. store who is extremely helpful.

order error
L.L. Bean, Inc. Consumer Complaint
I placed an order for a pair of slippers and a pair of boots from L.L. Bean. While I certainly appreciate the speedy delivery maybe it was so speedy they didn't bother to check the order before it went out? What I received were one pair of wicked good slippers and one pair of dorky slippers I DID NOT order, not even remotely close to the boots I ordered.
When I called to get it fixed I was informed my boots were no longer available? The customer service rep said she was sorry and that was it. In addition I get to drive the dorky slippers to the UPS drop.
A lot of disappointment...

I made a order with the company noticed the system did not have the right address. We have a new floor at the building and the mail system does not know it yet. It happens all i do is tell the system to override and place in what i wanted. well in this case the program did not care for that. So i do the next logical step call them aka llbean. they tell me oh cant do a thing you should cancel the order and re-order. really for the same thing to happen again. I even told the guy just append the floor. nope notta so i was like fine not worth the hassle and wait will just go to landsend...

Living in maine LLbean is a place all mainers go to know when they shop for an item that it's going to last for many years and when it does start to fail you can bring it back to beans to have you item replaced.
Now as a mom I want to buy my kids winter stuff to know that there going to be warm wet free and I'm worry free. Not the case I bought my kids there winter wear to only find them wet when they get home. L.L. Bean dropped the ball once (possibly twice); now I'm without snowboots

In the end, the rep agreed that LL Bean would cover my return shipping charges for the Snow Sneakers, since I was - in effect - sent the wrong product. While I do appreciate this concession, it would have been nice if the rep had suggested this.
On 12/5/10, I placed an order for TC258269, Deep Coffee Snow Sneakers, Size 9 1/2.
Immediately after I received the order confirmation for the Snow Sneakers, I forwarded the confirmation email to orders@llbean.com with a request to cancel the order. (I have this Sent email in my records.)

On 12/5/10, I placed an order for TC258269, Deep Coffee Snow Sneakers, Size 9 1/2.
Immediately after I received the order confirmation for the Snow Sneakers, I forwarded the email to orders@llbean.com with a request to cancel the order.
I did not hear anything back from this emailed cancellation request. (From here on out, things just got more convoluted, but I will save that for another Support Ticket.)

Coupons force customer to Make many small orders
L.L. Bean, Inc. Support Ticket
$10 Gift with $50 or more purchase bad for customers and business. I made a purchase of $200 online. Thought I would get a gift card for every $50 purchase. Received email confirmming order tried to contact LL BEAN got cut off on Live Chat twice. Called Customer Service could not change to smaller order so I could take full advantage of 4 gift cards. Would not cancel order so I could resubmit as smaller orders. email from them is below. Would it not be cheaper for company to have one big order than several small orders? Also less headache and paperwork for both customer and company....

Online coupon order

I made a purchase online for over $200 before tax. The advertisement said $10 Gift Card for Purchases over $50. Received email that I would get one gift card. Went Live Chat & was cut off twice. Called Customer Service to change order to 4 smaller orders so I could get 4 gift cards they would not do that. So requested the order to be cancelled they also would not do that because they already billed me. Order has not been sent yet just in processing. Email is below

LLBean creed no longer honored

I contacted LLBean concerning a fleece jacket that had a failed zipper...I shared with them how much I loved the jacket and that it was well worn with a burn hole in the sleeve...they responded that the zipper repair did not fall under the guarantee because of the burn hole. How are the two related??? The LLBean Creed of 1918(?) is no longer being honored.
I will no longer shop at LLBean until they update their service claims...or fix the zipper!

Gum Shoe disatisfied

I tried to repaired a pair of gum shoes I have had repaird several times before, having the soles replaced and essentially had myself a new pair of gumshoes. This last repair was unsuccessful because Bean could not repair them because they were repaired too many times. I then went to a LL Bean store in Pittsburgh and wanted to buy a new pair of gum shoes to my dissatifaction they do not make my shoe size any more and the customer service would not take the tracing of my foot and make me a set of shoes. I have bought 3 pair of gum shoe styles from Bean and have sent them my size 6 tracing...

Coupons Ripoff

Was thrilled to receive 3, $10 holiday coupons after purchasing Bean items last Christmas... Since Bean never has sales on current items, I felt it made up for their higher prices.
I redeemed them for a pair of shoes, that fit very poorly... So I sent back the shoes for a jacket and pants.
Guess what? Bean customer service said I couldn't redeem my $30 coupons "Sorry, you can't return for a different item!"
HuH??? Guess what Bean? As a 30+ year customer, I will NEVER deal with you again... Oh yeah, when I asked to be connected with your upper...

Just an observation
L.L. Bean, Inc. Consumer Complaint
It seems that you are compromising the rugged spirit of the Maine outdoors by offering more of an urban line of imported clothing. I remember Eddie Bauer and Bannana Republic and even the Gap softened it's edges this way and it lost them many customers. Me included. LL Bean used to be unique and not just a clone of other catalogue houses. While I realize that imports are a fact of life and more Americans live in urban settings isn't there a way to toughen up and bring back the Maine charm of rugged clothing not made in China?

I am very dissappointed with L.L.Bean corporation. I truly like their products - but am very upset at the way they handle their potential credit card customers. They don't have the incentives (free shipping, free monograming, etc) for customers who pay their bills and credit cards off monthly,owe no one, etc..... Long time customer of LL Bean! Lack of recent customer service will deter me from continuing to buy their products. I bought an .entertainment center that turned out to be damaged because It was left out in the rain by UPS. LL Bean pleasantly informed me that they would ship out another unit to replace the first one. I was instructed to carefully unwrap the 2nd package so I could use it to rewrap the damaged one. My wife's 85 year old mom passed away last week. Mom's LL Bean card had a $1,000.00 balance, and was due the same day she died. We contacted the lawyer in charge of Mom's estate, who told us not to pay mom's bills out of our own money, but to advise the companies of her death, and the payments would be settled with the will. My wife advised LL Bean of mom's death. She was immediately sent to collections, and a very rude woman, who kept asking for an immediate payment, and finally hung up on my wife. Mom's credit was outstanding, by the way.

Not making Christmas shipment

Order number . Placed order before noon on 12/19. Called to ensure it will make Christmas. Told by representative that it will be there by 12/24. Get confirmation products shipped on 12/22. On 12/23 I check and package will be delivered on 12/27!! UGH.
Call customer service. Go up two level (both groups were very professional). I am told I will have an email in my personal account explaining to my wife that the mistake was on LL Bean's side. Call made at 3pm ET. At 10:10pm I STILL DONT HAVE THE EMAIL. Told that it takes 4 hours. 3pm+ 4 hours is 7pm.
